HOW TO: Enable detailed logging for the RMTrack Job Scheduler
Summary
RMTrack uses a background service to perform the periodically execute the following jobs:
- Sending e-mail notifications
- Receiving incoming e-mails
- Escalating issues (automatic workflow transitions)
- Performing database backups
These jobs will be performed by the Job Scheduler automatically at predetermined intervals. It can be useful for trouble-shooting to have a detailed log of the internal steps the job scheduler performed, logged in the RMTrack Issue Tracking Windows Event log.
Steps
- Using notepad edit the following file: C:\Program Files\RMTrack Issue Tracking\RMTrack.JobScheduler.exe.config
- Near the bottom of the file you will see:
<root> <level value="INFO" /> <appender-ref ref="EventLogAppender" /> </root>
- Add the following lines immediately after:
<logger name="RMTrack.JobScheduler.Scheduler"> <level value="DEBUG" /> </logger> <logger name="RMTrack.Application.Jobs"> <level value="DEBUG" /> </logger>
- Restart the RMTrack Job Scheduler
